Capital City Classic 10K 2013

After completing the Little Rock Half Marathon at the beginning of March, I relaxed my running schedule and began incorporating cycling to get ready for the triathlon season which was fast approaching.  Unfortunately that meant that my fitness level wasn’t quite as high as I wish it would be for the Capital City Classic 10K, . . . → Read More: Capital City Classic 10K 2013

Little Rock Half Marathon 2013

It has been 17 days since the Little Rock Half Marathon and here I have left you hanging.  On top of Phil’s mom being in town for the race, being slammed at work and taking a week off from training, it seems that I have been slacking in the blog posting arena.  Never . . . → Read More: Little Rock Half Marathon 2013

River Trail 15K 2013

The River Trail 15K was the first race of the year for me.  At about a month out from the Little Rock Half Marathon, this race was perfect timing to test my pace for the race.  I’m planning on running the half marathon in under 2 hours (a pace of about 9 minute . . . → Read More: River Trail 15K 2013

Firecracker Fast 5K

This was the first year that Phil and I have spent July 4th in Little Rock and it was kind of a bummer not to go down to the Gulf Coast of Mississippi, like we normally do, but it was also kind of cool because we finally got to participate in the Firecracker Fast 5K.  . . . → Read More: Firecracker Fast 5K

Capital City Classic 10K 2012

This race has become a staple in my schedule the last few years (2011 Race Report).  I like it because it focuses me on the 10K distance with a little more than a month before Memphis in May, plus it is very flat which also allows for PR’s.  This year was no exception.

I wasn’t . . . → Read More: Capital City Classic 10K 2012

2012 LIVESTRONG Austin Half Marathon

Pre-Race
“I have to go to the bathroom.” I said 10 minutes after we arrived at the the starting area.

“Are you kidding!? We just left the hotel room. Didn’t you go before we left?” Phil says while we start looking for port-a-potties.

“Well, I did, but I have to go again.” Then we see . . . → Read More: 2012 LIVESTRONG Austin Half Marathon

River Trail 15K 2012

Yay! The first race AND race report of the year! This race isn’t a race I’ve necessarily been training for, but it’s important because it was my tune up before the Livestrong Half-Marathon in a few weeks.  The day of the race wasn’t exactly the prettiest day, but we were lucky because the . . . → Read More: River Trail 15K 2012

Go!bbler Turkey Trot

I know that I’ve talked about Go! Running previously before in many of my blogs, but they started a new tradition this year.  For the first time ever they hosted the Go!bbler Turkey Trot!  This is purely a fun run and all you have to do to enter is bring a can of food on . . . → Read More: Go!bbler Turkey Trot

Race for the Cure 2011

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you to everyone who supported me in my fundraising goals for Race for the Cure.  With your help, I was able to raise $155 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, more than my goal!  Simply amazing!

As for the race itself, it was great for so many . . . → Read More: Race for the Cure 2011
